Our food pantry serves the community every Tuesday morning and it is run completely by volunteers .
Every Tuesday morning, we need two volunteers—a driver with a pickup truck, SUV, or van to collect our ordered food from Feeding America (3070 Shaffer Ave. SE) between 9:00–9:15 a.m. and bring it back to the church as well as a shopper, who coordinates with our food pantry coordinator on what to buy.
Each week, a volunteer picks up fresh produce from two stops on Saturday morning—Aldi on 28th St. SE and Eastern Ave. CRC—and delivers it to Grace for storage before Tuesday. Training with an experienced volunteer is recommended for your first run.
